I have decided to let James go today. I can’t deal with his drinking addiction and in my case, I was enabling him. James has to want help for himself and I can’t do that for him. I had to let him go, he needs help and he needs himself. If I feel that James is prepared and healthy enough for another chance, than I ‘ll give that too him. I asked James for 2 weeks; until after college so, I can get myself together, but he doesn’t and won’t listen to me. He doesn’t want my friendship and I have been there hand and foot to do all that I can do for him. Now, is my time for myself; which I have been putting second to make him happy. Instead, I get yelled, hollered, and cursed at; along with some harshful things. It’s not fair on my end and I deserve better.
